I like to cook but I am not a professional cook. I like plenty of workspace but also like things to be close at hand. I like drawers rather than cupboards, and I wanted a place to make cups of coffee or tea separate from the food preparation and cooking space, and I wanted an island that hid the cooking mess from the diners. It is difficult to imagine every design detail in advance so a number of design features were discussed and changed to address my concerns or Envision Kitchen’s concerns. Very much a collaborative effort.
